Rules of Eligibility

PHC AND NMPHC Fall Color Classic Stallion Service Sale Rules
1. The Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity is open to APHA, AQHA, ApHC and Thoroughbred (Jockey Club) registered stallions.
2. For an APHA, AQHA, Jockey Club and ApHC registered horse to be eligible to compete in the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity, the horse’s sire must be nominated and sold in the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity during the current competition year.
3. Stallions’ breedings are sold on a first come first served basis and are ½ of the advertised breeding fee plus a $20 office fee per service sold.
4. A stallion’s breeding must SELL in the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity during the current competition year in order for his offspring to be eligible to compete in Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity classes. All offspring are eligible to compete in that given year, in their corresponding class, for an entry fee of $25.00.
5. All futurity horses must show in their corresponding Fall Color Classic show class if they are APHA reg.
6. Stallion nomination applications must be completed by stallion owner or stallion agent and submitted to the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity chairman.
7. Stallions’ breedings are sold on a first come first served basis. Any breeding not paid in full within 7 business days of purchase will be resold.
8. Make checks payable to MPHC. Payment may also be submitted via PayPal, subject to a 3% convenience fee.
9. There are NO refunds for Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity purchased breeding’s.
10. Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity breeding’s may be resold with the Fall Color Classic chairman’s acknowledgement.
11. Mare owners must comply with the stallion owner or stallion agent’s breeding contract. Booking fees, chute/collection fees and shipping fees are NOT included in the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity purchase price and are payable to stallion owner or stallion agent as identified in breeding contract.
12. The resulting foal of the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity breeding will receive ONE FREE ENTRY into the Color Classic Futurity. This FREE ENTRY may be used through the resulting foals 3 year old year. This free entry allows the resulting foal to compete in one Color Classic Futurity class REGARDLESS of whether the foal’s sire sold in the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity during the current competition year. To compete in additional Color Classic Futurity classes the foal must meet the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity rule requirements. This free entry is NOT transferrable and may only be used on the resulting offspring from the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity breeding. The FREE ENTRY certificate must be presented at the time of entry.
13. Owners of Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity nominated and sold stallions will receive ONE FREE ENTRY into the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity to be used in the current competition year. This free entry may be used on ANY horse that is sired by the nominated stallion that SOLD in the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity during the current competition year. The FREE ENTRY certificate must be presented at the time of the entry.
14. If the stallion DOESN’T SELL, the stallion owner may pay a “Buy Back/Repurchase Fee” as described on the stallion nomination form. The stallion owner will then receive 2 FREE ENTRIES to be used on ANY horse that is sired by a stallion that SOLD in the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity during the current competition year. The FREE ENTRY certificate must be presented at the time of entry.
15. All Funds generated from the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity (100%) with exception of the office fees are used as incentives for the Fall Color Classic Horse Futurity.

Remember that with each stallion sold ALL progeny are eligible to show in the Futurity. Class entry fee is $25.00 which will go toward the final total for added money in each class.
